1401: WW-II German Army Helmet

NOTE: This helmet has been on layaway for several months but the buyer is not able to complete the transaction, so it is again available for sale. It was never shipped etc so everything is exactly the same:

100% original M-42 German Army helmet. Single decal did not have lacquer applied over it so it remains very silver. This is also why there are a couple of chips out of the decal but not the paint underneath. Lacquer made the decals more durable.

Liner has never been removed, but the string is missing. the wavy marks on the leather appear to be a light application of leather conditioner in the past. Numbers on the helmet are NS62 and D234

The helmet has the name of the person who sent it home "Chaplain Ralph W. Glenn" and his serial number.
